I hope you’ve had a great week! As the calendar turns from August to September, everything feels renewed. Like many families across our community, the last week or so has meant the beginning of a new school year, and in the next few weeks we will all be preparing for Rosh Hashanah and the new year. While these moments in the calendar offer us the opportunity to reflect on the past, perhaps more importantly, they offer us the opportunity to look ahead.

Beginning today, the Jewish Alliance is embarking on a process to develop a new plan to guide our work over the next three years. The most important part of the planning process is hearing from those closest to greater Rhode Island’s Jewish community. You can help us better understand the needs and challenges facing the community, and the hopes we all share for what the community should look like in the future. The information we gather will help us build a plan that responds directly to the community we serve.

Your input is critical to this process, and there are a variety of ways in which you can choose to participate.

In each case, we will be focused on the future, and what a vibrant, thriving Jewish community for all looks like over the next few years.

If you have five minutes, please take our survey. If you have an hour, consider being interviewed or attending our town hall meeting.

We ask that you be a part of what makes this such an amazing community. Help us craft the goals that will guide our work over the next few years and help us make sure those goals reflect where our community should be going. Your participation is essential, and I hope you will join us on this journey.

Until next time, I wish you a safe, peaceful, and joyous Shabbat.

Shabbat Shalom,
Adam Greenman
President & CEO
