I hope you’ve had a great week! As I mentioned in my last message, a few weeks ago my daughter Norah had her Bat Mitzvah. She did such an amazing job, and it was truly an honor to watch her lead services and read from the Torah for the first time.

As a father, I was so proud of Norah, and as the CEO of the Alliance, I’m also proud of the work our organization has done over the last thirteen years to create a vibrant, thriving Jewish community for all. We’ll be celebrating thirteen years of the Jewish Alliance at our B’nai Mitzvah Gala on Saturday December 7, and we want you to join us.

That evening we’ll come together to honor those who brought together the Jewish Federation, Jewish Community Center, and the Bureau of Jewish Education into one organization. And we’ll recognize the great things our community has done since. But mostly, we’ll celebrate. The evening will have all the trappings of a B’nai Mitzvah, we’ll light candles, we’ll dance, we may even get a few people up on chairs. The entertainment will be incredible, and will include Rabbi Noam Katz and Gad Elbaz, one of the most recognized names in Jewish and Israeli music.

This event is for adults and children alike, as we’ll be holding a Bonus Kids’ Bash at the same time, so you can make it a family affair. Information about tickets and how you can join us can be found here. All proceeds from the event will support our Rhode Island Jewish community and help us to chart our future.

Now more than ever it’s important for us to find opportunities to come together as a community. To find joy together in community. I hope you’ll join us for the fun.

Until next time, I wish you a safe, peaceful, and joyous Shabbat.

Shabbat Shalom,
Adam Greenman
