We work all year with our community's synagogues and agencies to ensure their security needs are met, and this comes into greater focus during the High Holy Days when attention is on the Jewish community. We want to make sure that everyone who plans to attend services this year feels safe and at home doing so. To help with that, our Community Security Director, Napoleon Brito, will be offering a training on Wednesday, August 9 from 3:00 - 4:30pm called The Power of Hello. The training is geared toward those who will serve as greeters or ushers but will have information and tips that anyone can benefit from.

And if you live in the first congressional district, or simply want to learn more about the candidates running for that office, I’d invite you to join us for the candidate forum we are hosting on Tuesday, August 15 from 5:30 - 7:00pm at the Dwares JCC. We’ll be asking questions that have specific relevance to the Jewish community, and community members will have opportunities to meet the candidates and learn more about their views on a variety of issues.
Creating a vibrant community for everyone has a lot of components to it. By focusing on your safety and security, and by informing you about those who wish to represent our community in Congress, the Alliance is proud to provide you with opportunities that help make our community thrive.
Until next time, I wish you a safe, peaceful, and joyous Shabbat.
Shabbat Shalom,
Adam Greenman
President & CEO
