Day-at-the-J is back, including everyone's favorite Tropical Splash Bash Pool Party!
We are excited to offer you the following activities as part of our ongoing winter series. Day-at-the-J is open to everyone whether or not you are a member of the Dwares JCC. We hope to see you there!

Thank-a-Thon Brunch: Board Room, 10:00am-12:00pm
We take thanking our donors and supporters seriously! Join us to make thank you calls, send thank you texts, and write thank you notes to those in the community who donate to everything we do! Scripts, stamps, and everything you need to write, call, and text will be provided. BYOP - bring your own phone!
Kid’s Activities: Social Hall, 11:00am-2:00pm
Jumpy house, books, games and crafts. Light refreshments will be available as well.
Tropical Splash Bash: Pool, 11:00am-2:00pm
Take a break from the cold winter months! Our mid-winter pool party is back, and better than ever! The full pool will be open to splash and swim with your friends and family. We will have pool floats, music, and lots of fun. Registration is required for this event to ensure safety.
Please note, if occupancy becomes too high, we may need to limit swim time to allow everyone an opportunity to participate. Register here.
Art Lecture with Toba Weintraub: Board Room, 1:00-2:00pm
Come and explore the work of Judy Chicago with us! Chicago’s life work is about identity, as an artist, as a woman, as a Jewish woman artist and as American Jewish woman artist. Her guiding star is what her father taught her to strive for, Tikkun Olam, the healing and repairing of the world. During our time, we will explore one of her installations, “The Dinner Party.”
About Toba Weintraub: Toba Weintraub, a graduate of Boston University College of Fine Arts and a master’s degree in education from Rhode College, taught Art History/Art Appreciation and Art Education at Rivier College in New Hampshire for ten years. She has given art presentations at a number of Senior Centers and residential communities throughout Rhode Island. She is also a practicing artist, painting in oils and acrylics. Sandra Bornstein Holocaust Education Center and the Jewish Alliance present a film screening to commemorate International Holocaust Remembrance Day: Monument, Social Hall, 3:00-5:00pm with special guest, Providence Mayor Brett Smiley
