Shaliach (shah-LEE-akh) means “messenger” or “emissary” in Hebrew. The Shaliach Program creates a living bridge between Israel and the greater Rhode Island Jewish community. The shaliach is a community resource for Israel education and advocacy, working directly with children, youth, students, and adults in the different synagogues, religious schools, youth groups, and agencies throughout Rhode Island’s Jewish community.

We are privileged to welcome Gaya Dahan to serve our community with her knowledge, love of and pride for Israel, and a sincere dedication to local and worldwide Jewish communities. She works collaboratively with Alliance staff, enriching programs and extending outreach.
